Ethics of Sustainable Development: Corporate Sustainability in Action
This online certificate course, "Ethics of Sustainable Development: Corporate Sustainability in Action", provides an introduction to the theories and practice of sustainable development from a global perspective.
Through engaging discussions, participants discover the concepts, measures, and policies for the development paradigm and the intersections of human and economic development. By working with a diverse and interdisciplinary cohort, participants gain a critical global perspective on the ethics of sustainable development. Upon completing the course, participants showcased their Capstone Projects as practical sustainability solutions designed to be incorporated into their corporation's sustainability plans, enabling them to actively address climate change.
This course is taught by Dr. Sagar Raj Sharma, Dean of The School of Arts and Professor at The Department of Development Studies at Kathmandu University in Nepal. Dr. Sharma has a PhD in Development Economics and specializes in teaching entrepreneurship and development, human dimensions of development, and Nepal's plans and policies. Dr. Sharma's area of expertise is in land reform, food security, migration, foreign aid, and development.
